How To Get Deterministic Chaos in Destiny 2 Lightfall | Unfinished Business Exotic Quest Steps
If you’re looking for a guide on how to get Deterministic Chaos in Destiny 2 look no further! This guide will walk you through unlocking the Deterministic Chaos exotic machine gun, locating Cloud Accretions, and completing the “Unfinished Business” quest.
Deterministic Chaos is a powerful new Exotic weapon introduced in the Destiny 2 Lightfall expansion.
To obtain the Deterministic Chaos exotic heavy machine gun that fires Void debuffs every fourth and sixteenth shot, you must complete the exotic quest “Unfinished Business”.
This quest only becomes available after completing the Lightfall campaign, which will direct you to Neomuna, a spectacular neon metropolis on Neptune.
How To Get Deterministic Chaos In Destiny 2
- Complete the Lightfall campaign;
- Complete the Unfinished Business Exotic Quest;
- Go to the Hall of Heroes;
- Speak with Nimbus;
- Collect Cipher Quibits from Vex and extract Rohan’s data from Cloud Accretions;
- Locate the final data packet in Maya’s Retreat;
- Survive the Vex attack and recover the data packet;
- Regroup with Nimbus and Osiris in Radiosonde;
- Retrieve a Vex compass from the Lost Sector in Liming Harbor;
- Create chaos in Ahimsa Park to draw Shadow Legion forces away from Calus’s ship;
- Find a Seed of Silver Wings in the Typhon Imperator;
- Visit Nimbus;
- Complete the mission “What Remains.”;
- Bring the Conceptual Mind’s memory core to Nimbus in Striders’ Gate.;
- Go to the Hall of Heroes to honor those who cut their years short for the sake of humanity.
How To Start The Unfinished Business Quest
You can only begin the “Unfinished Business” exotic quest after completing the main Lightfall campaign. When you’ve finished it, go talk to Nimbus in Neomuna, and they will give you the quest.
Visit The Hall Of Heros
The first step is to visit the Hall Of Heroes, which is near where Osiris is during the campaign, at the top of the map.
Here, you will have to interact with a door and watch a short cutscene of Rohan’s induction ceremony.
After that return to Nimbus to unlock the next step.
Collect Cipher Quibits And Extract Rohan’s Data
In this step, almost every Vex you kill in Neomuna will have a chance to drop a Cipher Quibit.
The best way is to travel to the current Vex Incursion Zone (which you can locate on your map) and defeat Vex to gather Cipher Quibits. You will need to gather a total of 40 Cipher Qubits.
When you collect all of them, you will also need to locate five Cloud Accretions to extract Rohan’s data.
You can collect Cloud Accretions whenever you want, but to extract Rohan’s data when collecting them you will need to have 8 Cipher Quibits for every one of the five Cloud Accretions needed.
Where To Find Cloud Accretions
Cloud Accretions are the planetary material of Neomuna and they can be found all over Neomuna.
To better find them when you’re out on Patrol you should put on one of the Detector Ghost mods to highlight the materials when you’re in close proximity.
Locate The Final Data Packet In Maya’s Retreat
Track this quest and it will lead you to Maya’s Retreat. To get to the area, take the path that begins in Liming Harbor. When you get there you’ll encounter a few waves of enemies that you must defeat before being able to collect the final packet.
Regroup With Nimbus And Osiris In Radiosonde
Here you will just have to go speak with Nimbus and Osiris in the Radiosonde.
You can locate the Radiosonde at the far end of the Neomuna map, also the locations will be marked on the map, travel to Liming Harbor and make your way there.
Retrieve A Vex Compass From The Lost Sector In Liming Harbor
In this step, you just have to complete the Thrilladrome Lost Sector in Liming Harbor. You can find it using the Lost Sector symbol on your map as a guide.
When you reach a building with a lot of arcade games you’ll know you’re in the right place. Open the chest at the end of the Lost Sector to complete this step.
Create chaos in Ahimsa Park
Now, defeat Shadow Legion enemies in Ahimsa Park, just travel to this zone in Neomuna and destroy the Shadow Legion, also using your abilities to kill them will speed up this step.
Find a Seed of Silver Wings
Travel to Ahimsa Park and head inside Calus’ Typhon Imperator, which is the absurdly big ship with the statue of Calus.
Just follow the quest marker to reach your destination inside the ship, when you get there you will have to defeat some Shadow Legion and interact with two relics to find the Seed of Silver Wings.
After that just travel back to Nimbus, and speak with them to receive Rohan’s Passkey.
Complete the mission “What Remains”
Follow the quest marker to Maya’s Retreat, where you can access the “What Remains” Exotic mission.
In this mission, you’ll be sent back into the Black Garden, where you’ll need to defeat some Taken and Vex as you progress through the mission.
When you reach the end of the mission you will find Nimbus right next to the Deterministic Chaos and the exotic will be yours to grab.
Now with the new exotic in your hands, to finish the mission you just have to follow the path to exit the Black Garden, there will be Heavy ammo pools to replenish your ammo making that you’ll never end up not having ammo and a great way to test out your new exotic.
Also along the way you will have some walls blocking your path and to break them you will need to shoot the floating plates on the other side of the wall with the Deterministic Chaos, which has ricochet rounds that will ricochet in the plates and destroy the walls.
