Complete The Grasp of Avarice Dungeon

The Grasp of Avarice is the new dungeon added with the Bungie 30th Anniversary DLC and it can be relatively simpler compared to other end-game activities.

Destiny 2 Grasp of Avarice

You can access the Grasp of Avarice dungeon via the Directory in the Cosmodrome or in the Eternity menu.

So, depending on your power level and your experience, it can take you between 40 minutes and a couple of hours to complete your first run.

You can check out our Grasp of Avarice Dungeon Walkthrough Guide, which explains how to pass by all those traps you will encounter and complete the dungeon.

When you kill the dungeon’s final boss you will complete the dungeon and this step of the exotic quest, which will give you your first Wolfpack Round.

Collect Wolfpack Rounds

And Out Fly The Wolves

After you’ve completed the Grasp of Avarice dungeon, you will have to speak with Shaw Han in the Cosmodrome and he will look at your new Wolfpack Round and ask you to collect some more.

And Out Fly The Wolves

For this step, you will need to defeat powerful Fallen in the Cosmodrome, you can look around or even wait until a Public Event with Fallen shows up, but the fastest way to complete this is to go into the Exodus Garden 2A Lost Sector in The Divide.

You will have to complete the Lost Sector a couple of times, as the Wolfpack Rounds drop randomly from the powerful Fallen that you defeat.

Speak With Shaw Han

And Out Fly The Wolves

Take all the Wolfpack Rounds you collected to Shaw Han. He will give you the Rocket Housing which is a Gjallarhorn Component.

And then you will have to speak with Banshee-44 to pick up another Component.

Speak With Banshee-44

And Out Fly The Wolves

Now, travel to the Tower and speak with Banshee-44, he will give you the Trigger Mechanism which is another Gjallarhorn Component.

And then Banshee-44 will send you to the Exodus Garden 2A Lost Sector to find another Component.

Complete The Exodus Garden 2A Lost Sector

And Out Fly The Wolves

Banshee-44 believes that you will find the last Gjallarhorn Component in the Exodus Garden 2A Lost Sector in the Cosmodrome.

Just complete the Lost Sector as normal and when you open the final chest you will receive the last Component and complete this step.

Reassemble Gjallarhorn

Take all the Gjallarhorn Components that you’ve gathered back to Shaw Han, but this time instead of speaking with him you will have to into his camp base.

When facing Shaw Han, turn around and you will find his camp base, go inside and interact to Reassemble Gjallarhorn.

And Out Fly The Wolves

Now, after Reassembling Gjallarhorn you just need to yet again speak to Shaw Han one last time and he will finally give you the Gjallarhorn Exotic rocket launcher.

Gjallarhorn Perks And Catalyst

Destiny 2 Gjallarhorn

The newest perk of Gjallarhorn is its intrinsic perk, Pack Hunter, which increases handling and reload speed when near allies.

Firing the Gjallarhorn while Pack Hunter is active will give Wolfpack Rounds to all nearby allies who are using non-exotic rocket launchers, which makes it a very powerful support perk.

Wolfpack Rounds is the Gjallarhorn exotic perk, which was the perk that made this exotic the most sought after in Destiny 1.

Rounds fired by Gjallarhorn will split into a bunch of mini-missiles that swarm bosses and nearby targets.

Gjallarhorn also has an Exotic Catalyst which you can acquire from the Grasp of Avarice dungeon.

The Catalyst adds a new perk that will increase Gjallarhorn magazine size to two and also final blows with this exotic will cause Wolfpack Rounds to spawn a faster and more powerful missile.
